NALA Referral Program Terms of Service

These terms and conditions apply to all Participants in the Nala Referral Program, whether as a Referrer or an Invitee. 

You can invite your friends to use NALA with your own personal invite code. Participation in the Referral Program is subject to minimum send amounts. These minimum send amounts are set out in our Invite a Friend FAQs and are subject to change from time to time and according to your location. The invite reward amounts are specified in the NALA app and in our FAQs. The invite reward amount is a credit that you can freely use as payment for a NALA transaction(s).

Please note: NALA Tags, our peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions, are not eligible for earning invite rewards under this Referral Program.

Your friends must be new users in order to use the promo code (ie. they must not previously have executed a transaction through the NALA app).

We reserve the right to apply our fraud protection procedures and our regulatory Know Your Customer requirements before processing your friends' transactions. Our general terms of service and privacy policy apply to the transactions you and your friends send out via NALA.

We reserve the right to reject or cancel an invite reward amount for any legitimate reason and in particular in instances of misuse of the Referral Program such as but not limited to:
i. if the person you refer qualifies for a reward by sending money back to you;

ii. non-compliance with applicable law or regulation in any jurisdiction

iii. creating multiple or non-genuine accounts;

iv. generating a number of rewards which is, in NALA’s discretion, excessive   and not in accordance with the spirit of this promotion;

v. inviting existing NALA customers; and

vi. making non-genuine payments.

You are liable for any personal tax consequences if any arising as a result of this promotion and NALA accepts no liability in relation thereto.

An already credited invite reward amount is only valid for a period of Thirty (30) days  from the date of credit.

Rewards, Expiry and Reclaim

1. Nature of Reward Balances.
   Unless expressly stated otherwise, all rewards (including referral rewards, welcome credits, promotional credits and similar reward benefits) are promotional in nature. Reward credits are held in a separate, dedicated Rewards Wallet and may be used solely for eligible transactions through the NALA platform in accordance with these Terms.
   
   Rewards are non-transferable, and may only be used as expressly permitted under these Terms.
   
   
2. Validity Period.
   A referral credit reward:

• Must be used within thirty (30) days from the date it is credited to your Rewards Wallet (the “Validity Period”);
• Automatically expires at the end of the Validity Period if not fully used;
• Is not extended by partial use - any unused balance remaining after the Validity Period will expire regardless of prior or partial redemption.

You acknowledge and agree that unused reward balances are time-limited promotional benefits and are not intended to be held indefinitely.

3. Reclaim of Expired Rewards.
   Once the Validity Period has expired, any unused reward balance will automatically expire and may be reclaimed by NALA by reversing the expired credit from your Rewards Wallet back to NALA without further recourse or notice to you.
   
   
4. No Reclaim Except as Covered in these Terms and Conditions.
   By participating in Nala’s referral program, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
   
   

Changes & Effective Date.
NALA may amend, update, or replace these Terms from time to time at its sole discretion and without recourse to you. Where required by applicable law, NALA will notify users of material changes in accordance with these Terms. The effective date of any amended reclaim rule or related provision will be stated in the updated Terms and will apply from that date onward.
